Nico J. Schrijver is State Councillor in the Council of State of the Netherlands, part-time Professor of International Law at Leiden University and a visiting professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He has published extensively on the UN. His books include ‘Development Without Destruction. The UN and Global Resource Management’ (Indiana University Press, 2010).
