Rose Omamo is the General Secretary of Amalgamated Union of Kenya Metal Workers. Deputy President of International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). She is the treasurer of National IndustriALL Council (Kenya). Rose is also an executive Board Member of Central Organization of Trade Unions-Kenya. Rose is an elected member of Organization of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) Women Commission in charge of information. She is an elected member of International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) Africa Women Committee. She represents ITUC Africa in the Africa, Caribbean Pacific European Union (ACP-EU) follow up Committee. Rose Omamo also represents COTU (K) in the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA), in the Manufacturing Sector Committee. She was formerly employed by Associated Vehicle Assemblers Limited where she served for twenty (29) years before embarking fully on Trade Unionism. Rose is a Co-chair, IndustriALL Global Union and a member of IndustriALL Global Union Executive Committee. Rose participated in the negotiations of ILO C190 and R260 (Bureau Member). Rose is a strong advocate for Ratification of C190 and R260.

Catherine Mithia is an economist and policy research professional with more than seven years of experience in development economics and finance. She leads the Sovereign Debt Management portfolio at the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD), driving policy and advocacy on debt governance, restructuring, sustainability, and reform of the global debt architecture. Her research and publications focus on debt sustainability analysis and illicit financial flows, including work on Kenya’s oil and gas sectors. Catherine holds a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Kenyatta University and is dedicated to advancing African perspectives in regional and global development finance policy debates.
