He declared: “relying on a wide network of Member foundations, FEPS is very well situated to play a strong role in EU policy debates, at a time when progressive change is needed more than ever.

His nomination is the result of an open selection process that led FEPS Bureau to unanimously appoint him upon the advice of FEPS President Maria Joao Rodrigues. There was a broad consensus on his wealth of highly relevant experience and expertise among all Members of the FEPS Bureau” she said. Additionally, regular and long-lasting involvement in FEPS’ activities provide him with a deep understanding of the foundation’s work and familiarity with its members, developed over many years.”

Prior to his new role, László Andor accumulated a wealth of top-level political, academic, and managerial experience at both national and EU level. President Rodrigues furthermore highlighted the complementarity of his profile and her own one which leads her to state: “I believe that with László Andor, the new leading team of FEPS can address the coming challenges in terms of gender, climate, digital, taxation, social in order to offer new progressive narratives to the social-democrat family and leverage in-depth experience with all European institutions”.
