The Foundation for European Progressive Studies was deeply saddened today as it learned of the passing of our India and South Asia advisor, Dr. Klaus Julian Voll.

Dr. Voll, or Klaus, for all those who knew him, was a great friend of FEPS and a committed supporter and believer in the international work of the Foundation. In his capacity as India and South Asia advisor, he worked tirelessly to elevate the importance of issues relating to India, constantly building bridges between a progressive European and Indian audience. A fundamental part of his work for FEPS was dedicated to drafting a monthly dossier analysing the major developments from India and South Asia, which he committed to since the very beginning of FEPS, 11 years ago.

We would like to express our sincerest condolences for this untimely development. This marks a huge loss for FEPS, since Klaus contributed so much to the Foundation’s work and success. On a more personal basis, the outgoing FEPS Secretary General, Dr. Ernst Stetter, would especially like to offer his sympathies to his family and those close to him.

He will always be in our hearts and he will be profoundly missed.
