FEPS Next Left Working Group on Europarties and Eurodemocracy will gather in hospitable premises of Renner Institut in Vienna, Austria on 15th – 16th December 2013 for the final debating round this year.

The session is held under the theme “Politicising Europe, europeanising social democracy” and will be devoted to the third peer review of the research papers by the respective FEPS NL WG’s members.

Hence among the topics on the agenda there are: Euro-crisis as a catalyst of the europarties’ developments; consensus, coalition and conflict in the chaning EU political sphere; segmented europeanisation, new euroscepticism and euro-rejectionism, as also 2014 as a critical year in the political history of the EU.

Furthermore the FEPS NL WG will also deliberate on ways to promote the outcomes of their studies, as also potential research questions and activities for the next year’s cycle.

Planning  already involves two academic debates, which will be organized at the respective Congresses of the European Studies at Universities in Leiden (June) and Warsaw (October).
