We are delighted to announce that FEPS joins the European Alliance for a Just Transition and is among the signatories of the Call to deliver a Just Transition to a Social and Sustainable Europe.

The alliance is an informal group of 25 European organisations calling on the institutions of the European Union, national governments and other authorities to act now for a Just Transition for all.

“Ensuring that we succeed in moving towards a social and sustainable Europe must be a priority for this generation of Europeans”, FEPS Secretary General László Andor said in a statement.

“With initiatives such as the European Green Deal and the Fit for 55 package, we have already taken the necessary first steps towards this transformation”, Dr Andor added.

“Yet, when implementing these changes, we need to ensure that the transition delivers fair and socially just outcomes for everyone. For progressives, the benefits and costs need to be shared fairly”.

Discover more about the initiative on the dedicated website www.alliancejusttransition.eu or by following the official Twitter account and Facebook page.

Take part in the debate on social media by using the official hashtags of this initiative on social media: #DeliverJustTransition and #JustTransition4All.
