FEPS will be participating in the Conference “Working together to address the refugee crisis: a progressive roadmap for EU-MENA cooperation”, which will take place in Beirut, Lebanon, on 30-31st October 2015.

The conference, which is co-organised by the Global Progressive Forum (a joint initiative of the PES and the S&D Group), the Olof Palme Foundation, the Progressive Alliance, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, FEPS, SOLIDAR and the Arab Social Democratic Forum, constitutes part of a series of activities on the refugee crisis. The Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) of Lebanon will be the host of the conference.

The conference in Lebanon is part of a larger process within our social democratic family, to develop a broadly supported and comprehensive strategy to deal with the current refugee crisis. Its primary objective is to bring together political actors and experts from both the EU and the MENA region to discuss the current situation and develop a roadmap for the future.
