Macroeconomic forecasting for the EU

With the Economic Council of the Labour Movement (DK)

Lead researcher: Lars Andersen

FEPS, thanks to the key collaboration of the Economic Council of the Labour Movement (ECLM), runs estimations and forecasts on EU economies with the HEIMDAL model and an ad-hoc created input-output model. The Historically Estimated International Model of the Danish Labour movement (HEIMDAL) focuses on the world economy from a European perspective and is able to describe the European economies both on a country level as well on an aggregated EU level. The models are developed and maintained in a joint cooperation between ECLM and FEPS, and they are employed to illustrate the impact of policy changes in the European economy.
