Researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies. He defended his doctoral thesis in December 2014 at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). Karim is writing a book on the climate crisis and the future of humanity, and his interests range from the social impact of emerging technologies to long-term risks to human civilisation. He has published several articles in the fi eld of existential risks, bioethics, the philosophy of AI and human enhancement.
