Simon Weiser, PhD candidate at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. Simon Weiser is a researcher at the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. His PhD focuses on family and romantic relationships of young refugees from Syria. For his PhD he received a scholarship by the Hans-Boeckler-Foundation. In 2023 he was a visiting scholar at the Orient Institute Beirut. Previously he held a scholarship for young academics at the German Youth Institute (2021-22).
