The Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) is delighted to invite you to the presentation of the book Towards a Society with Social Protection for All – A Concise History of Social Security Transformation in Modern China. It will an opportunity to discuss with the two co-authors Prof Dr. Zhou Hong and Prof. Dr. Zhang Jun, how to ensure sustainability and adequacy of social security systems, and what the future of pension policy in the context of future of work should be.

The event will take place next Friday 12th October, from 10 to 11.30 am at FEPS Headquarter, 40 rue Montoyer 1000 Brussels

Background

The book includes a series of reviews of the development of social policy since the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. It looks at the effect of the economic system, the mode of production and forms of employment for social policy design, to clarify the developing context of Chinese social policy, and to help readers grasp the legal aspects of social policy development and the main problems China faces in its present economic developmental stage.
