The Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), with active support of the Kalevi Sorsa Foundation, organised the event “What next for European social democracy?” on 2 June 2016 at the auditorium of the National Museum of Finland. The aim of the seminar was to debate some of the next steps for the social democratic project in Europe and to promote debate on social democracy`s basic values in Finland. Social Democratic Party of Finland has started a process to renew its basic principles programme, and the new programme is to be adopted in 2017.
