Combatting the antisemitism

Dans trop de pays d’Europe, les propos antisémites ont malheureusement connu au cours des dernières années non seulement un développement inquiétant, mais aussi une banalisation, voire même une acceptation insupportables.

Alors que court toujours l’auteur de l’attentat antisémite au Musée Juif de Bruxelles, il est crucial que tous les responsables politiques démontrent leur détermination à combattre concrètement, à tous les niveaux de pouvoirs, l’antisémitisme ainsi que toute forme de racisme et de xénophobie.

Cela implique notamment qu’au risque éventuel de déplaire à une partie de leur électorat, ils expliquent avec pédagogie que l’importation dans nos villes et dans nos quartiers de conflits étrangers, et en particulier de celui du Moyen – Orient, n’a pas de sens et n’est donc pas acceptable.

Faire vivre ensemble en harmonie les divers groupes de citoyens qui composent nos communautés doit plus que jamais constituer une priorité politique pour tous les gouvernements européens.

Ce n’est que si elles sont fortes et partagent les mêmes valeurs de cohésion, de tolérance et de respect, que nos sociétés pourront entraver la mise en oeuvre de la terreur antisémite.

En accord avec leurs idéaux de fraternité, les progressistes doivent être à l’avant-garde de ce combat. Il s’agit d’un enjeu de société.
