FEPS would like to reiterate the essential commitment of the social democrats to the principles of democracy and subsequently the rule of law. Democracy is a topic that the Foundation for European Progressive studies has always regarded as a priority of our work. This is demonstrated in the renewal debates within the Next Left activities and now we will hold further activities with a special focus on democracy and freedom in this European region. A seminar will be held in November on this topic and the next issue of Fresh thinking will be dedicated to democracy and rule of law.
