Monetary Analysis of the Economy Conference

The colloquium Monetary Analysis of the Economy took place at Pierre Mendès University in Grenoble, France on the 15th and 16th April 2010. The aim of the conference was to put in the front line a monetary analysis of the economy as a general framework in which the exploration of both the bases and economic policy proposals could make sense. This colloquium intended then to bring together economists sharing the idea that the monetary analysis of the economy could be a fruitful framework in suggesting new economic policies, based on a critical theoretical analysis of the mechanisms governing our economies as well as of the modes of intervention for managing economic imbalances. In this regard, a reflection on money contains a double interrogation: one on the theoretical bases of a monetary economy, the other on the economic policy recommendations to which such an approach can lead.
