Bojan PAJTIĆ


Bojan Pajtić Ph.D. was born on 2 May 1970 in Senta. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad where he was appointed a teaching assistant at the Law of Obligations in October in 1996. He defended his master thesis “Fiduciary Agreements as Means of Providing Obligation-Legal Claims” at the parent faculty. He acquired the title of Doctor of Science of Law (Ph.D.) in June 2008, when he defended his Ph.D. thesis titled “Marital Property Agreement”. He was elected an assistant professor of Law of Obligations in 2009, an associate professor in 2014, and a full professor in 2019. As a researcher, he participated in EU mobility program (Erasmus plus) as a visiting professor at Heidelberg University in 2018. He was a visiting professor at Comenius University in Bratislava in april 2018.

In 2001 he was elected Vice-President of the Executive Board (municipal Government) at the City of Novi Sad, a Deputy at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the first President of the Legislative Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia after democratic changes in 2000. From 2003 he discharged the office of the DOS (majority) Chief Whip and in 2004 was elected Chief Whip of the Democratic Party at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. At the AP Vojvodina Assembly session held on 1 November 2004, he was elected President of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (provincial Government) and re-elected to this office on 16 July 2008. The new Provincial Government of AP Vojvodina was elected at the AP Vojvodina Assembly session held on 11 July 2012 and Bojan Pajtić Ph.D. was elected its president, and remained in that position until 2016.

Bojan Pajtić, SJD, was the President of the Democratic Party from 2014 until 2016.
During the same period, he was a member of the Presidency of Party of European socialists (PES), which brings together the Socialist, Social Democratic, Labour and Democratic parties from all over the Europe.
He is fluent in English and Hungarian language.

He is the author and co-author of over forty scientific and expert papers.
