Danai KONSTANTINIDOU has been a researcher at the European Social Observatory since October 2025. Her research focuses on social protection, poverty, welfare states, and comparative social policy and policy evaluation. She is in the fi nal stage of her PhD in social policy at the University of York, where she examines the impact of social transfers on income poverty and deprivation in EU member states. Danai has worked as an external collaborator at the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE) in Athens (Greece) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), where she participated in various research projects and served as the Expert for Greece in the European Social Policy Analysis Network.
