Emma Dowling is a sociologist and political economist at the University of Vienna, where she is Assistant Professor for the Sociology of Social Change. Previously she has held teaching and research positions at institutions in Germany and the United Kingdom. She has published widely on topics that include feminist political economy, global justice, financialization and society, as well as the role of emotions at work. She is the author of The Care Crisis: What Caused It and How Can We End It? (London/New York: Verso, 2021).
