Jane GINGRICH

Jane GINGRICH is a professor of comparative social policy at the University of Oxford. She received her PhD in political science from UC Berkeley. Her early work focused on the politics of marketisation in state services in Europe. She is currently working on a European Research Council-funded project on post-war education policy reform in advanced industrial democracies, which involves extensive data gathering on educational institutions, rhetoric, interest groups, as well as regional patterns of educational attainment. She is also completing a book project on the Third Way turn in social democratic parties, which focuses on the differential mobilizing role that educational appeals play for left parties as compared to more traditional social policies. She is a member of the CIFAR Innovation Equity and Future of Prosperity working group.
