Mirta Soverini holds a BA and an MA in Local and International Cooperation and Development from the University of Bologna. Her academic career has been complemented along the years with many training courses and workshops on the topics of migration and asylum. During the last ten years, Mirta has been working as coordinator of reception centres for asylum seekers, project officer for European projects on asylum and development, and researcher in the field of migration and integration. Mirta is currently working as coordinator of the Mare Nostrum reception facilities for the Cooperative Society Lai-momo in Bologna.
