Full Professor in Economic Policy at the Department of Economics Marco Biagi of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore) (Italy), Phd in Economics at the European University Institute. She has coordinated the Phd Programme in Labour, Development and Innovation at UNIMORE from May 2017 to October 2023. She is member of the European Gender Budgeting Network, of the Centre for the Analysis of Public Policies,  coordinates the Gender Equality Lab at the Marco Biagi Foundation and she is co-funder and member of the Scientific Committee of IDEM, UNIMORE spin-off on the measurement of gender equality in organizations, she conducts research and publishes in the areas of discrimination by gender and sexual orientation, gender budgeting and policies evaluation, inclusive education and well-being (measurement and evaluation of the effect of public policies on different dimensions, in a gender perspective and in the capability approach).

She has coordinated the Project: Leading Towards Sustainable Gender Equality Plans in research institutions – LeTSGEPs (H2020-SwafS-2019 – 873072) and has been co-leader of the Working Group on Employment and Economic Well-being within the COST Action (European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research) CA19103 – LGBTI+ Social and Economic (in)equalities.
