Secretary-General of Public & Science Sweden, a non-governmental organisation that works to promote dialogue be- tween academia and the general public. Ulrika has a background in solar cell technology research, with a PhD in physical chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology at Lausanne (EPFL), and has worked for almost three decades as a science writer and producer, including more than ten years as editor in chief of the science newsroom at Swedish Radio. Alongside her journalistic work, she has a particular interest in science and technology studies and spent a year as a visiting fellow at Cambridge University writing about the interaction between genetic re- search and wider cultural and societal issues. In 2023, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Arts at Uppsala University.
