Employment in the Irish financial services sector: A preliminary background report

This report summarises publicly available material on jobs, employment and working conditions in the Irish financial services sector. It provides an overview of the structure of the sector and of employment. It describes employment regulations and collective representation and the key elements of working conditions in the sector: wages, working hours, non-standard employment, training, job security, health and safety and finally job autonomy. The final section highlights issues for the fieldwork research with some reference to international research.
