Following a very successful symposium at Harvard Law School in spring 2012, the partners in the Next Left Transatlantic Dialogue of Dialogues will receonvene this year at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. The upcoming seminar “Next Left: Framing a new narrative” which is organized by FEPS together with IGLP HLS, Rafael Campalans Foundation and Renner Institut will gather on 9th – 11th May 2013 high level scholars from both the EU and the US, who together will discuss within 6 sessions:

  1. Restoring sense of politics
  2. Distinguishing Modern Progressivism
  3. Formulating Global Agenda
  4. Politicising European Promise
  5. Building a Welfare Society
  6. Creating Socio-Economic Paradigm.

It is a closed seminar but the third session that touches upon the issue of European Promise is foreseen to be open to the public, taking place on 10th May from 6 p.m.

It will feature, among others,: Roberto Unger, Massimo D’Alema, Alfred Gusenbauer and David Kennedy.

All the themes will be debates in the context of the papers, which will be available for public after the event.
