Since the crisis hit, many proposals have been put forward to deepen, complete and reform the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). Elections in France and Germany appear to have revamped momentum for reform. On the occasion of the State of the Union speech, the Commission’s president outlined a roadmap, which foresees the presentation of a package for EMU reforms in early December.

FEPS is committed to foster and promote the debate within the progressive family to strengthen and help develop alternative policy proposals which aim at a better functioning of the Eurozone, a more democratic governance and a stronger social dimension.

FEPS Review Meetings are designed to provide space for a fruitful interaction between top experts and policy-makers of the progressive family. The round table informal setting is meant to facilitate an open debate on the progressives’ priorities for reform.
