The Summer Conference “Labour’s Next Majority” will provide a great opportunity for reflection on what needs to be done to regain interest, trust and support of the citizens and herewith win the subsequent elections of 2014 and 2015. The main questions of the debate are designed to follow the fringe meeting that FEPS and Fabian Society that had been held at the Labour Party Conference in September 2011, as also they bridge with the FEPS research on how to enhance and revitalise democracy in Europe. Furthermore, the discussions are expected to relate to the new FEPS Next Left – Fabian Society pamphlet “The Shape of Things to Come: Labour’s new thinking”, which is to be launched at the occasion of this event. The conference will feature a speech of Ed Milliband, Chair of the Labour Party. FEPS is going to be represented by Dr. Ernst Stetter FEPS Secretary General and Dr. Ania Skrzypek, FEPS Senior Research Fellow.
