For more than 30 years, economic inequality has been rising across advanced economies, with enormous social, political and economic consequences. Inequality is not inevitable, and policy options are available that will produce better outcomes for all. More than one hundred participants took part in FEPS-TASC 6th Annual Conference, which was devoted to the theme ‘Economic Inequality – What Can Be Done?’ and was organised in Dublin on the 19th of June 2015. As always, the annual FEPS-TASC conference was a great an opportunity to hear progressive, evidence-based ideas on how one of the most persistent problems of today, that is economic inequality, can be best dealt with in the European and Irish economies.
