The Foundation for European Progressive Studies was deeply saddened today as it learned of the death of our Vice-President and Treasurer Karl Duffek, who was also director of the Renner Institute and international representative of SPÖ. FEPS President, Secretary General and the whole team express their deepest condolences to Karl’s family and the Renner Institute.

Karl strongly believed in FEPS’ mission and has given a great contribution to its success. Without him FEPS could not have launched the Next Left programme and the Young Academics Network, which are going to remain as his legacy to FEPS.

He was a good friend, a convinced supporter and a committed member of FEPS Bureau and we will miss him profoundly.
