Giacomo BENEDETTO


Giacomo Benedetto holds a Jean Monnet Chair at Royal Holloway, University of London, where his current project focuses on Europe’s crises and recoveries over the last decade. Since his appointment at Royal Holloway in 2006, he has developed research and teaching on the public finances of the EU, publishing in highly ranked scholarly journals. He has provided expertise for the EU institutions, and he has contributed to publications for several EU think-tanks, including FEPS. In 2020, he co-authored an article on the “Rise and Fall of Social Democracy, 1918-2017” published by the American Political Science Review. Giacomo holds a PhD from the London School of Economics.
