Meriç Özgüneş is a practitioner working at the municipal level on social and affordable housing. She is the Coordinator of housing programmes in Thessaloniki on behalf of the municipalities of the metropolitan area, working on evidence-based system building for public housing delivery. She currently coordinates the first Social Rental Agency in Greece, established in Thessaloniki. She has been involved in research focusing on public policies related to inclusion, housing systems, housing exclusion, and the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalised groups. She has also been involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of several EU-funded initiatives, including URBACT, IPA, and European human rights funding instruments.
