The Labour party, despite an overall gain of 32 seats, lost the general election in Britain for the third time since 2010. In France, the Socialist Party (PS) has been plunged into a devastating crisis. The Socialist presidential candidate Benoît Hamon secured only 6% of the votes during the first round of the presidential election whilst the results from the general election on 11 and 18 June were catastrophic.

Le Parti travailliste, malgré le gain de 32 sièges de députés, a perdu les élections en Grande- Bretagne pour la troisième fois depuis 2010. En France, le PS est plongé dans une crise dévastatrice. Benoît Hamon, son candidat à l’élection présidentielle, n’a recueilli que 6% des voix au premier tour et les législatives des 11 et 18 juin ont été catastrophiques.
