In partnership with the Labour party, we are organising a breakfast seminar to provide a broader context and fresh perspective to the policy discussions.

Breakfast seminar, 9am – 10am Saturday: “How to build an economy that works for all”

Speakers:

· Rachel Reeves MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Work & Pensions (TBC)

· Stefano Fassina, Italian MP, former Finance Minister & former IMF economist

· Ruairi Quinn, Irish MP, former Education Minister, former Finance Minister & former Leader of the Labour Party

· Chair: Glenis Willmott MEP, Leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party

This NPF meeting is a key moment in the Party’s policy making process in the run up to the General Election in May 2015.  FEPS will bring added-value to the debates by presenting some of our long-term research work and expertise from our network. The NPF will consider the final year policy consultation documents, and amendments submitted by affiliates and constituency Labour Party branches, on a range of policy areas.  These discussions will ultimately inform the policy platform on which we will campaign at the General Election in May 2015.

The NPF is made up of 186 members representing government, European and devolved assemblies, local government, affiliated trade unions, socialist societies and others, and individual members of the Labour Party, who elect representatives through an all member ballot.  Shadow Cabinet Ministers will also be participating.
