FEPS with Jean Jaurès Foundation has invited more than 20 speakers to analyse the challenges for Progressive politics in Israel Chair today.

The meeting will be chaired and introduced by Bruno Liebhaberg, Chairperson of the FEPS Scientific Council

Roby Nathanson, General Director of the Macro Center for Political Economics, will introduce the first session entitled “The socio-economic landscape in Israel: Liberalisation, the welfare state and religious-secular relations”

Brando Benefei, Member of the European Parliament S&D Group, will introduce the second session entitled “Why is it so difficult for the Israeli progressives to be heard domestically? What can national and international progressive organisations do to improve their position? Can EU “soft power” have an influence on Israeli politics?”
