At a time when the need for progressive answers at a global stage is becoming more urgent than ever, and the scope of EU-Latin American relations is becoming of increasing significance, the Foundation for European Progressive Studies, the Global Progressive Forum (GPF) the Chilean Institute for Equality (Instituto Igualdad), the Party of European Socialists (PES), PES Women, and the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY), are jointly organising an International Conference on the general thematic of “Re-thinking the World”. The conference, which will touch upon various aspects of cooperation between Europe and Latin America, will take place in Santiago de Chile from April 27th until April 29th 2017. It will feature the participation of the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, amongst many high-level policy makers, experts and civil society representatives, from Europe, Chile, and the wider region.
