On the 1st and 2nd March the newly established FEPS Global Migration Group, composed by academics, experts and practitioners’ from several European countries, Senegal, India, Australia, Canada and Mexico and chaired by former Italy’s Prime Minister Prof. Giuliano Amato, will meet for the first time in Rome. The Group will discuss the Global Compact on Migration that is currently being negotiated by the member states of the United Nations and will prepare a document which will outline a new progressive vision on migration, to be presented in New York at a conference that FEPS is organising on the fringe of the United Nations General Assembly.

 

This is a close door meeting under the Chatham Rule.
