After the positive experience of the Regional political academy for Social Democrats that FEPS and the National Democratic Institute Bosnia-Herzegovina carried out in 2017 and 2018 for the progressive political parties of South East Europe, the two organisations decided that the 2019 training should focus on a single topic, namely the question of integrity within political parties. In fact, it has been observed that political parties in the region suffer from a very low level of integrity and this gaps and deficits create opportunities for nepotism, corruption and ethics breaches. Strengthening the integrity of political parties is critical for establishing genuine democratic societies in South East Europe. The programme is therefore intended to motivate and encourage party members to carry out internal party reforms, such as increasing transparency, forming ethics committees, creating clear employment practices and preventing nepotism, etc.

The trainings are closed-door.
