Event in the framework of the 6th Progressive Youth Forum

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a disproportionate toll on women who (still) carry the lion’s share of care work. Despite all the clapping from the balconies, they continue to suffer from a severe lack of recognition for the real worth of their paid and unpaid care work. All too often, women work in underpaid, precarious or even completely invisible conditions.

On the occasion of this year’s International Women’s Day and as part of the 6th S&D Youth Progressive Forum , we endeavour to uphold women’s rights and fully leverage their full potential, giving them a voice.

Join us for our event “Towards a fairer, care-focused Europe! ” in partnership with S&D  Friedrich Erbert Stiftung, and Young European Socialists on March 4th (14:00-15:15) for an exchange with gender equality experts and care workers to identify the challenges and formulate concrete and progressive recommendations for a real shift towards a people-oriented Europe!
