On June 8th 2017, the Foundation for European Progressive Studies, together with SOLIDAR and the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament presented their new book entitled Progressive lab for sustainable development: From vision to action. This publication is the result of a joint initiative between the three organisations. The project featured the active participation of young researchers, experts and policy-makers, aiming at offering concrete proposals about the kind of steps the EU can take to move towards a more progressive sustainable development model.

The book launch event was opened by MEP Gianni Pittella, President of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament, who stressed the leading role the EU can play in advancing sustainable development. This was followed by two rounds of discussions during which authors, experts, policy-makers and civil society representatives actively debated and exchanged ideas.
