Extensive evidence shows that disparities in life opportunities emerge early in life, but early care and education can break the cycle of disadvantage! 

 

Progressives in Europe have made significant strides in child policy, but there is still much to do to ensure quality early education and care for all. That’s why FEPS co-organised a citizens’ dialogue at the Festa Nazionale dell’Unità – to resist right-wing efforts to dismantle welfare systems.

The social dimension of enlargement

On the occasion of the Korčula School 2024 organised by CEE Gender Network, FEPS co-hosted the workshop “The social dimension of enlargement”. We discussed how to ensure that the enlargement process results in strengthened social rights and protection, inclusive labour markets and economic growth, and the empowerment of the Western Balkan citizens, in line with the European Pillar of Social Rights.
