‘Africa Day 2025’ Flickr album

Africa Day has been the leading event bringing Africa to the Netherlands for 30 years. With around 1,000 visitors, speakers, and volunteers, it is the largest public event in the Netherlands on Africa and international cooperation. The day consists of workshops, lectures, discussions, films, and music. With this event, we aim to provide a platform for African voices and bring together citizens, politicians, and NGOs to discuss a new partnership between Africa and Europe based on equality. Africa Day is organised every year by the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) in collaboration with the Max van der Stoel Foundation (FMS).

This year, on 15 November 2025, the event focused on the theme “Africa in a New Global Order”. While global powers compete for influence, African countries are demanding and claiming their place at the table as influential political, economic, and cultural actors.
