Anna KOLESNICHENKO

Policy Analyst on Economy

Anna Kolesnichenko is covering economic policy at FEPS. She focuses on European fiscal and monetary policies and, more recently, industrial policy. She also works on multidisciplinary topics at the intersection of economy, democracy and international relations.  

She started her career at the CASE (Center for Social and Economic Research) think-tank in Ukraine, specialising in fiscal and monetary policy and later European integration. Later she had short-term engagements in several international organisations and banks: NATO Parliamentary Assembly (Brussels), Center for Strategic and Internationals Studies (CSIS, Washington), ING bank and Bear Stearns bank (London). From 2009 to 2020, Anna worked in different roles in the area of strategic analysis and monitoring of the bank performance in UniCredit bank in Vienna.

Anna holds an MA in Economics from EERC/Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine) and an MA in International Relations from School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University (USA).

Among the projects she is working on at FEPS are ‘The macro-economic impact of the cost crisis: Lessons for Europe‘, ‘The profits-prices spiral: Measures to avoid inflation’, ‘Progressive Economics Network‘, and ‘Economic Democracy‘.
