In 2020 we decided to take a critical look at the achievements of the 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing 25 years after the adoption of its declaration by 189 national governments whilst discussing the further necessary steps adopted. Already back in 1995, important topics were strategically addressed such as poverty, general and professional education, health, violence, armed conflicts, economy, power and decision-making. It is high time for some real progress towards women’s rights and gender equality!
