Austerity policy has not been able to ease the symptoms, let alone heal the underlying structural and long-term causes of the lingering crisis in Europe. Instead it transformed the economic malaise into a full blown economic, social and political crisis of the European Union. With the aim to provide visionary and inclusive alternatives to austerity, FEPS  called upon academic experts, democratic representatives and civil society.
