Following the great interest raised by research The Political Communication of the Refugee Crisis in Central and Eastern Europe carried out in 2016, FEPS and Policy Solutions have decided to continue to study the effects of the refugee crisis on the Central European member states’ political dynamics, with a new research focusing this time spefically on the progressive parties. The purpose of the conference The Flexible Solidarity. How Progressive Parties Handled the Migration Crisis in Europe, that will be held on October 10 (15:30-19:00) at FEPS (rue Montoyer 40) is to present the new study, review how progressive/left-wing politicians and left-wing voters have reacted to the refugee crisis in the last few years, and formulate recommendations to better handle the issue.
