These four sessions aimed to provide valuable insights into the outcomes of the study ‘Social democracy without people‘. The study is based on original empirical data collected by IBRiS, translated into a report by Bartosz Rydlinski, Chair of Daszynski Centre.

Rydlinski’s study delves into the intricate analysis of long-term trends shaping the electoral outcomes of the former SLD, now Nowa Lewica. The focal point is understanding how Poland’s centre-left aligns with Western European trends on a demographic level, emphasising strategies to re-establish connections with various groups, especially blue-collar voters.

This study serves as a crucial analytical lens for understanding the results of recent Polish elections, particularly when assessing the strategies of Nowa Lewica and Razem. It’s particularly significant in the context of the process leading to the formation of the new government (12/12/2023) and preparations towards both local/regional and European elections in 2024.

The sessions were scheduled as follows:

  • 13/12/2023 –  5–6 pm:  University of Warsaw
  • 14/12/2023 – 4.45–6.15 pm.:  University of Wroclaw (online)
  • 15/12/2023 – 11.30 am-1 pm: Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw
  • 18/12/2023 – 5–6 pm: Special session for the FEPS Member Foundation from the V4 region, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia (online)

Each presentation included:

  • Presentation by Bartosz Rydlinski, Chair of Daszynski Centre
