Accelerating industrial decarbonisation: Discussions on technological neutrality and on the IAA

Photo album of the ‘Accelerating industrial decarbonisation‘ event at FEPS HQ.

This expert seminar on clean industry gathered a small knowledge community of experts from different backgrounds, such as think thanks, academia, trade unions, civil society, industry associations, EU institutions (European parliament, CAN Europe, WWF, Agora Industrie, CoR, etc.). The purpose was to discuss important topics in a constructive manner, not shying away from confronting different perspectives in a respectful and relaxed atmosphere.

As part of the event, Thomas Frohlich (King’s College London) presented the preliminary conclusions of his upcoming PB on “Technological neutrality in the context of decarbonisation: critical analysis and alternatives”. This paper was then discussed with the participants with comments by MEP Bruno Tobback, and followed by a roundtable discussion on the Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA): Risks opportunities and policy coherence.
