This online expert roundtable, hosted by the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) in collaboration with national partners, marked the launch of a new collaborative project examining the transnational dynamics of the far right in Europe.

The roundtable brought together a select group of experts and representatives from FEPS member foundations for a strategic discussion to help shape the direction of the project. Participants collectively identified key priorities for a series of three full-day roundtables to be held in autumn 2025.

These upcoming events will focus on mapping transnational far-right networks and spaces, analysing the spread and evolution of far-right narratives—and exploring progressive counter-strategies—while also examining the far right’s presence within European institutions. The project aims to produce actionable insights for progressive policymakers and foster a long-term expert network on this critical issue.
