Mental health is recognised both as an intrinsic human right and as an invaluable resource by the EU. Together with the Think tank for Action on Social Change (TASC), we examine the mental health systems of France, Ireland and Poland, the scale of mental health issues that have arisen during the pandemic, and the extent to which marginalised and at-risk groups receive targeted support. We call for an EU Mental Health Strategy. Read more.

Dark stores: Back to the Dark Ages?
28 March – FEPS HQ – Hybrid

Quick-commerce is a service aimed at achieving superfast delivery from ‘dark stores’ to consumers. They use worker-intensive methods to deliver impressive convenience to your door. But who pays the price?
We discovered that since this business is hard to make financially sustainable, the workers and riders are the ones who bear the actual costs.

Join us on 28 March, at FEPS HQ, at the launch event of the two studies commissioned by FEPS and UNI Europa into the q-commerce sector. We investigated Germany, Spain and the UK, and unveiled the health conditions of the employees in the sector, their job security and social rights.

We were in New York for the Global Futures Forum, a civil society-led gathering that aims at forging a new global consensus on what our future should look like. It also serves to ensure that civil society perspectives are engaged in the preparatory process of 2024 Summit of the Future.
Maria João Rodrigues, FEPS President, emphasised that future generations should be seriously considered and that we need to take the right decisions today to provide them with good living conditions tomorrow.
