Launched in 2023, the FEPS-Nordic Digital Programme is FEPS’ flagship research programme, a collaboration with our member foundations and trade unions across Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. It focuses on the impact of digital technologies on our work and our public institutions.

The 2023-2024 edition of the programme focused on algorithmic management and platform work, gathering data through case studies and surveys to better understand how workers’ experiences of algorithmic management or employment terms on online platforms shape platform work.

In the 2025-2026 edition, the topical focus has been expanded, building on the work of the previous programme. The focus will be on:

With the insights from the second Digital Programme, we hope to inform debates around public sector digitalisation across Europe as well as support trade unions in ensuring that workplace digitalisation benefits workers and respects fundamental rights like the right to privacy and data protection.

All our work will be published on this page, and you can find all our prior publications below. We will discuss our research and findings on several occasions.

If you are interested in joining the conversations or would like to know more about the research, please contact Monty Aal, FEPS Digital Policy Analyst at mont.aal@feps-europe.eu and Vanessa Zwisele, FEPS Project Officer at vanessa.zwisele@feps-europe.eu
