On June 12, 2026, the Feminist Foreign Policy Progressive Voices Collective (FFPPVC) will convene a closed-door discussion to reflect on the outcomes of the 5th FFP Ministerial Conference (1–3 June, Spain) and explore the development of the new EU Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS).

The session will begin with opening remarks by Ann Linde, FFPPVC Co-Chair and former Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Nicolas Schmit, President of FEPS. Participants will share impressions from the Ministerial Conference, followed by an exchange on the upcoming EU Action Plan on WPS, which is set to be presented in 2027and implemented from 2028–2034, aligning with the EU’s next Multiannual Financial Framework.

Agnes Mach, Policy Officer on Gender Justice at the FES EU Office, will moderate the discussion. Machris Cabreros, FFPPVC Co-Chair and Global Coordinator at Progressive Alliance, will provide a wrap-up and key takeaways to conclude the session.

This internal exchange is designed for FFPPVC members and invited contributors to collectively shape the Collective’s engagement in the development of the EU’s WPS strategy.

The meeting provides a space for Collective members – academics, policymakers, and civil society representatives – to exchange insights and strengthen collaboration on advancing feminist foreign policy in Europe and globally.

The Feminist Foreign Policy Progressive Voices Collective (FFPPVC)

Since its launch in October 2023, the FFPPVC has served as a platform for progressive-minded academics, policymakers and civil society representatives to exchange perspectives and influence policy developments on feminist foreign policy. These closed-door thematic meetings enable members to share expertise, refine strategies, and deepen the feminist lens on global affairs.  For more information regarding this event, please do not hesitate to contact Beatriz Abellán, Policy Analyst on International Relations, FEPS (beatriz.abellan@feps-europe.eu) and Julia Wild, Acting Gender Portfolio Coordinator and Project Officer, FEPS (julia.wild@feps-europe.eu).
